very hard to answer your poll. it all depends on circumstances.

Mine is just a simply LowePro sling bag - the rectangular type with a zip around the top....... if that counts as a sling bag...... not crumpler-type definitely.....

Sling bags for easy deployment on the move.

Backpack for transportation of alot of equipment.

Backpack + Sling bag (folded) for the best of both worlds (but I seldom use this combi)

uh..actually what I meant is that I pack everything (including the sling bag) into the backpack. Once at the shooting venue I'll leave the backpack aside while I transfer what I need into the slingbag hence getting the best of both worlds.

I see.. that's what I did too but I was using a bullnose pouch......

I was wondering if there are pouches like a gun holster like that where we can stick the camera in securely like a pistol and then when we want to shoot just pull it out...... any idea? Thanks!

Lowepro Topload series, you can even shove a camera in with 70-200f2.8 attached.

There's already a sling + backpack bag.

The model is Lowepro Trim Trekker.

It is mainly a backpack but give you the option to use as a sling bag. The opening is on the top instead of the side as with a minitrekker.

Beltpack for me, keeps both hands free, quick access and also less load on shoulders. I use Lowepro Sideline Shooter and recently the Specialist 80 AW.

The Sideline Shooter looks real cool! How much did u pay for it?? I'm using the Nova 3 at the moment and it can't strap to the waist..... at least I can't find a belt that will hold the pack snugly on my waist..... that Nova 3 usually carries a Dynax 7, 24-135mm lens + 5600HS flash and maybe one more lens 17-35mm.

Sideline Shooter is about $50, can't really remember, as I have been with it for more than 18 months. Comes in black and green, if I remember correctly.

Also doubles up as a small working platform for changing film on the go. And triples up as a 'seat' for my daughter when I carry her!

My Sideline Shooter survived a pretty rugged 4 day hike into the jungles of Mulu with my video camera within.
