This is a trip that simply encompasses everything! From Sunrise to sunset, historical sites to schools, Portraits to Architecture, there is simply just too much to photograph.

Exquisitely planned to provide maximum photography opportunities, this photo safari brings you to places that tourist do not go. Travel with Julian W., an acclaimed professional photographer, as he guides you along intimately in the mystical ancient Khmer empire.
You can even do your part for the little children of Cambodia by providing them donations of stationery! Read on for more details.

WHO IS THIS FOR? : Keen photographers with skill levels from Beginner to Advanced.

PREREQUISITES:
- General fit and can wake up early for sunrise shots and sleep late because of night photography!
- Preferably with DSLR camera and additional lenses
- A tripod would be necessary for night photography & Infra-red photography.
- Participants should have good understanding of Aperture, Shutter Speed & ISO settings.

TOUR DATE: 21th to 24th January 2010 (Thurs to Sun)
Cost : S$820 (Based on twin-sharing), add S$150 (for single supplement)

Included : 3-star Accommodation, transport, meals as stated, boat ride on Tonle Sap lake, a 3-day Angkor Complex visitor pass, photography tuition and workshops.

Excluded :, Air-tickets, Cambodian Airport Tax (USD$25) & visa (if applicable), Tips for driver and guide (USD$4/day), personal travel insurance & other personal expenses.

ACCOMMODATION
- For this photo safari, we will be staying at a three-star equivalent hotel.

AIRLINES
- Jetstar Airlines (Depart 0600 hrs from SG; 0750hrs from Siem Reap). Participants to buy their own tickets or an arrangement can be done via Julian W. Photography.

DOING OUR PART FOR SOCIETY…(OPTIONAL BUT STRONGLY ENCOURAGED)

- We believe Education is the key to a better future and we hope to do our part towards building a better society.
- Participants are encouraged to bring along 2kg of stationery for distribution in the schools. Alternatively, participants can also set aside USD$20 so that we can use this fund to purchase the stationery in Cambodia for distribution.

ITINERARY


DAY 1 - Arrive in Siem Reap, Ta Phrom Temple (Lunch & Dinner)
We will start our photography safari after our lunch. The first stop is at the Ta Phrom Temple. A lesson will be given on infrared photography. We will then set off to locate a forgotten structure which is hidden in the jungle. Dinner will be served at a local Cambodian restaurant.

Highlights of the day :
- Ta Phrom Temple (where the move “Tomb Raider” was filmed)
- Visit to the forgotten North gate, located in the jungle.
- Trying out Infra-Red photography
- Visit to a forgotten structure in the forest (a secret place where tourists do not go)

DAY 2 (BREAKFAST, LUNCH)
We set off at 5am to photograph the sunrise over Angkor Wat Temple. After sunrise, breakfast would be served t before we set off to explore the sacred grounds. A late lunch would be arranged at an authentic Korean restaurant. In the afternoon, we returned to the temple grounds to photograph Angkor Thom (Bayon Temple). A lesson on panning will be conducted here. This will be followed by a trip up the hill to record the sunset (Weather permitting). Dinner is at own expenses today.

DAY 3 (BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
We’ll have our breakfast in the hotel today, before proceeding to a local market to experience the local way of life. After the market visit, we will adjourn to a school where we will distribute the stationery to the children. Lunch is next, and in the afternoon, we will proceed to the Tonle Sap Lake for unique photo opportunities of the people staying there. Dinner will be served back in town.

DAY 4 (Siem Reap to Singapore)
We depart for home today on an early flight and will reach Singapore just before noon.
