I will like feedback on photography techniques. i wanted to depict the calm before the storm, with the still water together with the stormy clouds.

I will like feedback on post processing techniques. Trying to make it gloomy.

Lastly does this photograph look appealing?

my comments on compositon perspective.....apologies
mirror image reproduced in computer ...symmetrical..too fake for nature scene
horizon put above centre up but no foreground interest
dark clouds pattern not interesting for a storm
more like a "happen to be there" snapshot

It is indeed a mirror image, don't even need a second glance. haha.
Appreciate your comments on the lack of appealing-ness, Thank you!

Go easy on the sharpening or clarity. I can see the halo forming at the edges of the rock.
You can do without the mirror image IMO.

Apart from that I like the tonal values of this photo. :)

Hi there, thanks for the comments, will keep that in mind! Appreciae it!

So the question remains unanswered... why did you mirror image it? How does that add to your photo that is not mirror imaged?
