hi,

i am using MS excel 2002 and i am in the midst of creating a calendar using excel 2002...
but when i import the calendar to photoshop CS2 the background is white.

is there anyway i can create a excel sheet with transparent background ?

I intend to have the dates (months and days) on a transparent background lying on top of a pic in photoshop...

hope someone can help....
thanks

Try the following (no guarantees it will work well coz not too sure what you are doing):

- arrange your calendar in Excel
- go to print preview
- do a screen cap (printscrn)
- paste the screen cap as a layer in your photo
- use magic wand to select the white background
- use Select Similar to select all the white background
- hit delete

Perhaps you can furnish more info and we can finetune the steps. ;)

If your calender has black wordings with white background, do a printscreen as what they say. Paste in PS as a new layer. Change the layer blending mode to Multiply mode. The white will disappear.

hi all,

thanks a lot .... use the magic wand and select similar... work perfectly....

but just like to ask:

1. select colour range how to use ?
2. the method suggested by M3lv1nh0 using multiply mode worked perfectly too.... but why it works and what is happening here?

thanks all for help....

hi,

found out how to use colour range already... thanks...

but still can't figure out:

the method suggested by M3lv1nh0 using multiply mode worked perfectly too.... but why it works and what is happening here?

thanks
