Is Buddhist life all about prayers, joss sticks and sitting on a cushion with one’s eyes closed? Open your eyes – and tell us what Buddhist life means to you.

Discover the many facades of Buddhist practice, art and culture with your camera in hand. Take a journey of contemplation and creation… you’ll discover something new about yourself.

Selected entries will be displayed at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza from 8 to 9 May 2010.
Deadline for submissions: 12pm, 18 April 2010, Sunday
Open to all aged above 13

Held in conjunction with Vesak 2554: Passport to Happiness

Hi there, so even before we are selected we are to submit our high res images?

Nope, all T&Cs are applicable to all who submit entries for consideration. :)

For all FULL-RESO entries submitted:
(i) copyright to all photographs remain the property of the photographer
(ii) BUT agrees to let SBF...reproduce them, for ... publicity material, WITHOUT remuneration!

Hmmm...interesting concept!

At least, all photographers will be duly acknowledged :)

long time already is like that.

I wonder just how many will submit

buddhists praying.
buddhist monks conducting rituals.
buddhist festivals.

just a question though....supposing the person/people in the picture ask for remuneration from the organizer/photographer if their faces are in the winning entries. GG?

Some additions to the T&Cs:

5. Each photographer may submit up to 5 images, which can be in colour or monochrome.
a. Photographers found to submit more than 5 images under different aliases will be banned from the contest.

14. Employees of SBF and members of the Working Committee may not participate in the contest.

---
Hi everyone, we regret to say that we have received 70+ photos from the same person using more than ten aliases and are hence forced to add this rule in order to make the contest fair to other photographers.

Rest assured, said person has already been banned from the contest.
