Buying Sanyo batteries in AP

Went to AP to buy Sanyo 1700mah batteries yesterday.
Quite bad experience leh.
Got one middle-aged uncle entertained me, told me 1800mah $4.50 and 1700mah $3.50!!
Got a shock and told him my fren bought 1700mah at $2.50.
He didnt believe me, looked very blur, then went to ask another person ( always see this person ard, got a 'dao' look one )
He said impossible, $2.50 for 1600mah one ( but if i'm nt wrong, they dun even sell 1600mah Sanyo....)
He then told me cost price for 1700mah is $2.80...so impossible.
After much bargaining, finally got 1700mah at $3.
Haiz...seems different salesperson in AP offer different prices...

I got mine @3.00 each. Bought 4 of them.

I got mine through a friend at S$2.50 each. Bought 24 pieces. Their equote stated S$2.50 each.

The problem with AP is that it is like the stock exchange. Prices fluctuate everytime.

"Best" price offered to me was 3.50 for the 1850 (initially 4). After a bit of cham sionging did he agree to let me have 12pcs @ 40 (so 3.33333 each), but not after punching the calculator.

Not fantastic but at least something lah. He refused to reduce for the 1700 which I think quoted 3.00. So I thought worst case 50c difference go for 1850. But now 10% price increase 10% capacity increase. So ok lah.
