Buying new tripod

Ok, i need some recommendations on a new tripod, it must be lightweight, affordable and sturdy.

My current tripod is too unstable to support my Sony 707 (that weights about 1kg w/filters on).

My budget is around $120-150, is it possible to get a manfrotto w/head?

probably, if you don't mind 2nd hand.

you can try the Slik Able 300DX nice and sturdy, priced about $100+ at MS Colour at AMK, should be able to handle your 707 with ease.

I would recommend the Manfrotto new Digital series of tripod. Think the 719B fits into your budget and it is very stable and it comes with a built in head.
