good lens there! superb sharp & great handling! u won't regret it!

tamron just launched a new Di (digitally-integrated) version (applicable for both film & digital).
the one that you're quoted is it the new Di version or current version?

i'm not sure but i won't buy the Di version ;) probably more expensive, too.
how about the sigma 105mm macro? They're about the same price...

anybody tried the 28-200 zoom before? because i heard that there's quite significant distortion at both ends...

the tamron len is way much better than sigma, unless someone hv tried the new 105mm DG sigma? Di is good if yr using dynax bodies with the D function. I am looking forward in getting one myself, only the one with Di. $650 i think? 28-200? they say at 28mm is OK if u shoot around F8? who knows very has their own stories about 28-200mm lens. my friend brought one (nikon) not bad he said.

i'm thinking of buying the sigma 28-200 compact hyperzoom (quoted $399 at TCW) and the tamron 90mm macro (quoted $560). any advice/warnings? :D

Tamron is very well known for its macro lens... Sigma recently came out the 50mm macro 2.8 It has superb reviews...

Personally I owned a Sigma 180mm macro and I believe this 50mm is a go!
