I have read all other posts from this and other forums
Some of the posts and advice are quite some time ago

not really new, but try to stick to the more trustworthy shops as mentioned in other threads, like wing shing in mong kok and tin cheung...

do your homework, get the lens you really want. don't let the salesman talk you into buying lenses which you have no idea about.

yes, i have already singled out 3 shops

1. Man Shing
2. Wing Shing
3. Tin Cheung

only interested in 2 items
I don't have much time to shop around
so if the prices for these shops are around the same
then I'll go to Tin Cheung, because it is nearer.

Wing Shing and Man Shing are basically the same shops, same owner. Their prices are getting less and less attractive. Tin Cheung is one of the better shops and there is another called Kowloon Camera which is located in Jordan/Temple Street, located opposite Eaton Hotel, one street behind.

Kowloon Camera shop offers better prices than Wing Shing/Man Shing. I buy most of my stuff there. Though the latter offers more variety than Kowloon Camera.

What brands are you looking at?
