Need some good advice. Anyone knows if Changi Airport sells Leica Q? If going holiday and coming back then get, any chance it's duty free can save couple of hundreds of dollars? Or camera purchases doesn't work this way? Thanks.

If I am not wrong, camera gear is not a dutiable goods, but sometimes prices from airport retailers maybe cheaper for some luxury goods ie watches and handbags.

U should be getting it on the way out rather than returning. Reason being purchases while departing Singapore are actually GST-exempt. But I doubt there will be stocks at Changi Airport. Heard that the A7Rii is also not being sold at Changi Airport transit area.

For controlled pricing stuff i guess it's still better with the gst off.

I've always had the impression that Leica is much cheaper in Hong Kong.

So where to get new leica gear at great price?
