buy new or used digicam?

If u have budget of S$500 or less, will u buy new entry level digicam (current Nikon CP3100, Olympus C300, Canon A70...etc.) or look for 2nd (or 3rd) hand old generation digicam (Canon G1, Olympus C3030, Nikon CP990...etc. any other suggestion?)?

I'll add another S$50 to get a new A70 for that budget (S$500). If budget around S$800, I'll go for a used G3. If budget less than S$350, I'll try to hunt down a used A70, but thats me

I wish i could get hold of an used A-70 at 400 S$ let alone 350 ...
I am ready to buy one at 400. Any sellers?

I would go for the G1 cause it has a hotshoe..

IMO.. camera/photo quality wise G1 should definitely be better than the A70.. question is whether a 2-3yr old used G1 will last as long as a newer A70 before it breaks down..
