May I know if the built-in flash in my Sony A100 is good enough for Macro shoot?

If not, is there any good affordable flash to recommend?

It's good enough but you need to use a diffuser to diffuse the flash otherwise it will be too harsh.

It's ok to use the build in flash. But you will need to turn down the power and add a diffuser probably.

For external flash you may want to get the Sigma EF500, Minolta 3600 or Sony FAM42.

It may also be better if you post this in the Sony sub forum as the users there will be able to give you better advise since they are using the same equipment.

yes it is good enough but you need to balance it with the ambient light

Watch it if you use a long macro lens with the hood on. You may get shadows
