Taken on a Canon A40.
No Editing done at all (other than resizing and texting)

I think I should've underexposed the first shot by one stop... what do you guys think?

The foreground really doesn't do a lot for me.
Also, was there no colour in the sky? Why B&W?
Did you spot or matrix meter?

spot... you're right there was no colour in the sky. pure blue and white. I thought B&W is definitely nicer...

I took somre more with the foreground totally dark.

Mt Cootha..........It sure brings back the Memories

Good attempt at B/W I must say.......Thanks for sharing !

i think it would be better to show more of the sky and less of the foilage and the concrete... such that the foilage line touches the 2/3 part of the photo.. then should be nices..

Hiee....

This place looks familiar...Its a view from Mt.Cootha??... Anyway....
It would be great if you could reposition yourself....maybe to include the gazebo sihoutte...(if this is Mt. Cootha..) . You may be about 1 stop under but i guess....without any filters....you should have taken a few shots with different EV..s

Anyway...keep trying...

rgds,
me
