Hi all, i will be goign on a trip to Nepal for trekking next Jan. Temperature will be in the range of 0 to 10 deg.C. Would it be advisable to bring my DSLR there as i have never been to countries with this temperature? Thks!

You can. I went to places below freezing point and my DSLR still works.
Battery life may go a little bonkers but will return to normal once warmed up.

perfectly fine. I'm going to Ladakh in Far northern India on Wednesday, and i am bringing 2 camera bodies along. have some spare batteries if you can, and keep your batteries warm beneath your jacket when you are not using them

where are you trekking?

I went in April this year with my 20D... some beautiful scenery and people over there.
As for camera care just make sure you NEVER pull out or change your lens mid trek... its notoriously dusty over there..
i made that mistake and got dust in my sensor over some during an oppurtunity for some of the best photos there... but ah well haha

also spare batteries are a must...
i was there for 2 weeks visiting schools we raise funds for and ate through 6 batteries i brought with me haha
