been doing some night photography lately
just wondering if i wanna capture a landscape shot in the nite
background is dark with some dim lighting,
but the foreground has some bright lights, say spot light or lamppost

how do i lessen the bight foreground and yet still able to capture the entire scene?
esp in headon/frontal shot.

You will need to take 2 photos one exposed for foreground & another for background the use PS to edit the layers togther.
Else during the long exposure for the background, mid-way through find something back to cover the bright foreground

no way to do it with 1 shot? and without PS?

Post a photo of your attempt. Reading your comments, we're only guessing what your situation is like. Sadly a million scenarios can fit your description, each requiring different treatment.

So if you're serious about getting help, post up your attempt even if its CMI. Everyone starts somewhere... no need to be shy!

CMI = can't make it

in case ur wondering
