trust me.. it still happens even amongst my friends, some openly put down another's religion in open in their faces.

You will see many more of this kind of event where one openly put
down another's religion right in one's face as long as the culprit is
having no knowledge of the world beliefs or scriptures as it is
known.

If you have educated yourself either through self study or higher
religious learning centre, university, the local assembly of like
minded folks to compare the writings of these messengers, you
won't disgrace other faiths or look down on them.

You will give respect to their chosen faith as it is their choice at
the moment. When one start to go deeper, than it will be a different
story all together.

Just an example, in the Christianity, schism came about because
of human selfishness of wanting to be differently identified, so the
split of the religious body - well, Protestantism, Anglicanism,
Roman Catholicism and even a Restorationist movement.

to me.. life is precious, short and fragile.. there are so many wonderful things to see, hear and experience in life.. for photographers ; there are countless places of great beauty to shoot.

it is sad to see men fighting and destroying friendship or even marriage just for their sake of religion ?

we are breathing the same oxygen ! came to earth empty handed.. and will go back to earth some day in the same way. .. what so special ? :think:

There must be one Almighty who has been creating all the "wonderful
things" for men to see and admire and hear the sound of singing
birds and the waves of the sea. Photographers are just men who
happen to like to use the camera device to record these natural
beauty. Some like to record the beauty of the human forms too.

Human beings are born selfish and greedy sometimes. These two
destructive behavious have led them to war, killings, conquering etc
etc. What is special is that humans did not realise their capacities
of their higher self. They did not realise that they should live to
make others happy and joyful. Instead they chose to destroy as
such "an act of crime to humanity" as in the case of Saddam.

It is not a matter of sensitivity - as called for "A bridge over
troubled waters" is a time favourable to discuss the reasons for
wanting to reach out and get to know each other as the PM said.

If you are afraid, you don't have to participate in this thread.
I am just trying to initiate a sincere discussion as to why our
little island is the first country to have religious harmony among
the people.
