the sony A900 is priced similar to the canon 5d mk2. i think your pricing includes the kit lens. for the a700, it is the oldest camera in the group. prices have fallen since the launch. for a350, it is closer to d90 in terms of target users than the canon and pentax. so pricing is lower as well.

Nope...just the body only for the A900 so a rough conversion would be SG$4354 which matches SG price. The A700 is $1450 and much much cheaper then official price of $1799.

A350 and D90....thanks for the tip.

i think nikon d700 should be placed with sony a900 and canon 5dmark2

the d3 and d3x should be with canon 1d series
am i right?
Why? I mean, these are all FF cameras. The 5dMark2 uses a similar sensor as the 1Ds MkIII, and the A900 uses a similar sensor to the D3X.

It gets hard to determine how to group these if you want to go on a "by feature" basis, really.

I don't think 1DsIII and 5DII uses the same sensor even though they have similap MP.

from what i check out other then the obvious issues, Pentax K20D and the Nikon D300 seems to have something going on when it comes to picture quality.

Not same. similar. The base processing technology is the same, but canon's not going to put the same sensor in there.
