hi,

i would like to shoot individual protraits for my siblings.
it will be done in a confine of a small room about 5m by 5m and 3m in height.
will it be better to bounce the flash or shoot it through umbrella/softbox?
i am using a 40d with 2 580exii and 50mm.
i have a wireless trigger for both my flash.

Thanks

since it is a small room, you can bounce the flash to the wall at camera right or left to create directional soft lighting on your subject,
or to the wall and ceiling at your back to create a very soft light like from a gigantic softbox.

hope this help.
