i am new to DSLR and i am interested in taking bokeh pic. how we can do it? i try and fail. Thank U!

use the smallest f number your lens can achive and zoom in as much as you can.
if you really love having bokeh, buy a fast prime.
a cheap and good one is the 50mm f1.8.

Zoom has no relation to bokeh.. how is anyone going to zoom in with a 50mm prime?

Dear Mongzter, do you realise that in an earlier thread "What is a bokeh!" post #14 will be of great help to you. Cos obviously you don't know what bokeh is in the first place.

Finally please spare 5 mins and take part in these polls, Search feature and Spoonfeeding.

Thank you!

The term then is Focal Length.

Well I guess I was too hasty in saying zoom has no relation, for zoom does change focal length. However I feeeel it'll be better for newbies to gain full knowledge of what they ask (though sometimes the info explodes their brains) rather than receiving piecemeal/confusing answers because there is much more to bokeh than buying fast primes, large apertures and zooming in.

oh i c... so chim...... thanks so much, u guy are helpful..

lol not that chim after all. take your time, take more shots and read more.
we're not born to take gd photos u see. ;)
