There will be a morning outing at Fort Canning Park in front of The Legends
Time will be 7.30am in front of The Legends at the field.
Date is 8th August 2010.
If weather is bad, we will retreat to the SMU building in front of the YMCA.
We will be practicing some bokeh type shoots with lighting if necessary.
These bokeh shots may be taken with a prime lens or any other lens at the widest aperture.
Do not worry about the sharpness of your lens at the widest aperture as that is not important here.
Next we may do some themes like
Freedom, Standout and On the job
You can suggest any other appropriate themes, we will decide which is the most interesting to shoot
With themes or role play, we can learn how to setup a shot, what is the appropriate background, clothes, or even facial expression.
Mostly we will be shooting together in teams so that some can be the model, photographer, lighting assistant or creative director and so on.
Items to bring
DSLR
Flash
Tripod / light stand for flash
flash triggers if needed ( I have three sets to share around )
Translucent umbrella or reflective ones whatever you have
Everyone is welcome.
There is no price for this free outing as it is meant for everyone to share their skills.
Newbies are welcome even if they do not have the right equipment. Come down to see what can be done with the bare minimum or even unconventional items.
One last thing, please remind me to show what is inside my backpack,
I keep forgetting to do that.
