I understand what you're trying to do but the big, underexposed lamp post in the foreground is very distracting... why not use a fill-flash to illuminate it while keeping the same exposure?

hmm agree..the lamp's pretty distracting

Problem is....fill in flash...or any other flash mode...the camera automatically unexposed the background sky ALOT..resulting in a lighted up lamp post only...sigh....stupid camera...&@$)^&^$@%)$15#&$$%!^%!!
