hi guys how to blend few photos together.saw example from scotts kebly( using gradient tool) but seems dun get the result.any simpler way? advis pls

Using gradient to blend?
I guess you mean using the gradient inside a layer mask.
I use that quite often.
There's some blending option in the effects' property dialogue box too.
Double click the layer to get the box out.
With the box you can change drop shadow, glow and etc.
At the top left there's an option for blending.
Click that and the right side will refresh with blending options.
