Hi

I notice that when I take picture with small aperture, there is some black spots in the picture. I am able to duplicate it.

However, it will not be there with big aperture.

So can I conclude that it is actually the lense that is dirty and not the CCD sensor? Cos the CCD is behind the aperture which means that the aperture size should not affect it. Is this correct?

But what bothers me is that even when I change lense, it is still there.
i have cleaned my lense and do not see any dirt on it. Please advise if it is the lense or the CCD the is dirty.

So dust on sensor is also affected by aperture size?

okok
thanx

i think it's the sensor then. sigh.
guess i need to spend some money to clean the sensor le.

dun wish to do it myself as i scratched my sensor the other time i try it.

hahhaa

mmm just a couple ot spots
not too severe.. In fact at f27, it is already blurred. have not try at f16 yet

thanx for the advise. U sure gave me alternative solutions.
hehehe I have never thought of using cloning.
:)

Why don't you avoid small apertures, especially f22 and beyond? I believe the blurring you are experiencing at f27 is due to diffraction and not the sensor dust.

At larger apertures, sensor dust will be less visible and you will avoid the ill-effects of diffraction at such small apertures.
