Sit in a corner with handphone light on, rocking against the wall, or on the bed? In a very quite mannar of course, so as not to disturb.

The blackout should be checked asap. It could be something that shortcircuited and a fire might result later. Even if it's not, handphones can't be charged, electronic alarms will not be working and worst of all, things in the fridge will go bad.

if its only the lights that are not working? issit still dangerous?

Could still be dangerous if the whole circuit board which is linked to the lights has short circuited, could easily cause fire.

Not will catch fire but may catch fire. Basically when you short circuit something it can get extremly hot and if its near somethin flamable then that heat can cause it to catch fire, also, when some things are short circuited they spark, however, most systems usually have a protection system against this so power is cut off, but your plugs are working so im not too sure.
