That's a Scaly-breasted Munia (Lonchura punctulata). Normally, they are hard to get close to, but looks like you were almost up close and personal with this guy. :thumbsup: Maybe next time, try to get the sun behind you instead of behind the bird.

Thanks for the ID.

I couldn't wait till the sun is behind me, by that time, the birdy would be gone. There is always a trade-off. :dunno:
 

Hi USM,

Probably against a blue sky it would be perfect. Anyway you can go quite new these buggers especially in the early morning or when they are very hungry feeding on green seeds on the ground level.
