What are the basic nessesities (like filters) to be used for image optimization (more realistic lighting) on a DSLR? And also, what are the die die must have for photography at night? (besides the tripod)

1) UV , theres no such things as realistic lighting but only lighting that u want to capture or create . You are the photographer u control the light dont let it control u .

2. Remote , timer mode ;p , decent weight tripod ( well balance not too light ...)
 

"must have" items
- tripod + head and release cable

"good to have" items
- lens hood, star filter, ND gradual filter and spirit level

camera settings
- use low ISO, use smaller aperture like f8 or smaller, turn on noise reduction, shoot RAW (if possible).
