Best way to clean slides?

You need to use a special cleaning product called (I think) PEC-12, along with tissues that are supposed to not leave scratches. Too bad Ruby doesn't bring in any more PEC-12, due to low demands from slides users. I got mine from US.

whats the best way to clean slides? my slides have dust particles on them...

If it's just dust, why not use a blower and soft brush to get rid of it ?

If it's fungus, that's a different story.

I haven't really used a blower yet, but I wanted to print it on A0, and the printer said that if there is no professional way of cleaning the slides, it will take ages cleaning it through Ps...

I wonder whats your best experience on this...

Would like to hear this different story.

Anybody knows how to clean slides that have fungus? Would the $28 solution from Cathay / US$10 from US work?

Do I need special tissue, special skills, special patience, etc?

Thanks

Reminds me of this:

Very carefully!

What's more difficult than getting a pregnant elephant into a volkswagon?
Getting an elephant pregnant in a volkswagon. :bsmilie:

i bought the solution, but seems like the Pec-pad (the cleaning cloths) still seem to scratch the slides. I resorted to just plain blowing wihtt he blower.

works fine..but 50 dollars poorer!!!
