I'm currently with M1 for my mobile phone line. Recently, I tried to surf using their data VAS. But I find the 10M traffic absolutely pathatic and laughable. And I have to give up voice connection if I take up the 5G data only plan.

Which is the best voice+data plan by the mobile operators?

Depend on how much you need. Singtel is having $22 ($16 for mio and singnet user) for 50GB of data for 3G and it can be used with voice plan. Starhub is having unlimited access for $72 but 50% dicount at the moment IIRC.

M1 is $22++ for unlimited

all those who are on the $22 5GB plans are automatically upgraded to the unlimited from 1Dec onwards

the problem with M1 is that that's only data and no voice. They don't allow voice to have that unlimited plan.:angry:

Starhub, I've checked... no voice plan too. it's pure data plan.

I saw the 50G plan and it's quite attractive;p anyone knows if it can be used with voice plan?

thanks

What do you mean by voice + data. Voice + data can share the same sim card.

Look at this site:

http://m1.com.sg/broadband/m1bb.htm

You can have Data + Voice unlimited but for Broadband V 1800 and minimum at SGD 38.72

I believe for the Starhub 50% discount one must have Broadband at home? Is that correct?

I am contemplating to stop using Starhub broadband at home (but keep the cable channels) and use the M1 Broadband plan for Internet data mainly at home and in the city......

Has anyone has bad experience with this M1 Broadband? ooking at Broadband 512 or 1800.....any difference? Is 512 kbps enough for just internet? (i think so).....

Thanks!

But this type of wireless broadband can slow down sometime. If given a choice, I still prefer to have a dedicated BB at home.

Yeah, but dedicated BB at a HDB home has slow down time too, often during weekends and at night......:-(

Nothing is perfect, unless you are on landed property :)

Looks like I need to visit Burger King/Mc Donalds more often :)

Cyrn, funny leh. I am using the M1 VAS. Think around 40 dollars. Gets 1G of bandwidth (Additional 1G = $10)
I think it is relatively ok and never exceeded usage on my mobile.

It is the only solution for me also as it is the only one which can have multi-sim cards running.
So same line, one for my Handphone (voice and data) and the other for my laptop.
