I've been looking around the web for tripods
can help to enlighten me which one is better, I have my eye on these two model
or is there any better tripod/ballhead with the same price range?

Benro A500EX + ballhead BH-1 ($198)
Sirui T-1004X/T-1005X + G-20 ballhead (195)

I'm limited to this budget that's why I compare only the two

my gear is D90 + Tammy 17-50 f2.8 + SB 800

Sirui.

It is one man's meat is another man's poison. I would say each brand have its own supporters... Perhaps you would like to hands-on these tripods personally and that would definitely help your decision on which one to purchase.

My Vote for Benro..why? Cause I'm use it and never failed my shot..

If can just pgrade your Benro ballhead to KB-1A (extra another S$100)..;)

i would stick to my budget =)

this become a poll hehe
just a note, benro and sirui with this specific models only, not as generally speaking between brands.

I haven't looked at fotopro, will look into it, thanks.

Yo Bro, not suggesting a new model for u, but with the stated budget, you can only get a Sirui T1004X w G20 ball head.

BTW, $195.00 should be T1004X + G20 Ballhead... a T-2204X + G20 will cost you $370.00

errrr so sorry
typo...

maybe that's why people are choosing Sirui because of the typo error

you are correct I'm comparing between

Reseting my question,

Which is better with specific model below.

Benro A500EX + ballhead BH-1 ($198)
Sirui T-1005X/T-1004X + G-20 ballhead (195)

Sirui. I sold my benro travel angel cf for sirui cf with one leg Capable to convert to monopod.

agreed, my typo...
but im leaning towards T1005X, since this is a bit smaller and lighter.

more leg section = less stability.. :D the t1004x is compact enough for my backpack and messenger bag.. no complaints...

Benro - 1 year warranty

Sirui - 6 years warranty

Benro's A550 is using a clip type lock to extend or retract it's legs,

compared to

Sirui's T-1005 which is using a G-lock type to extend or retract it's legs.

Thus I feel that using a Sirui would be faster to extend and retract.

I myself using the T-2204. I bought it partly because of the retractable spikes below the legs, which is good for me as in difficult conditions like grass patch area.

Sirui for me as I'm using it now, T-2204X + G20 ball head and u also get additional small center column if u really want to go low eg: macro

That's good hear, im looking also for fast/easy extend retract action.

Camera attach and detach should be similar on both ballheads?

Both ball heads are similar in design..

hmm no !

Sirui gives a acra swiss compaitable ball head.. so u can change lots of plates ..

Benro gives a ball head that is those quick release type.. only 1 plate to play with
