Beginners Outing(Part 10) is here!

Will be shooting sunset at the newly opened Woodlands Waterfront

Details:

Date:25 June(Its a FRIDAY!)
Time:5.30pm/6pm/6.30pm till 8pm+
Place:Woodlands Waterfront(FYI,its near Admiralty Park North Carpark)
Who should/can join:Anyone(Beginner or Pro)with a camera!Be it a P&S,Prosumer,DSLR or Rangefinder

Things to bring:

1)Camera
2)Lens(es) if its a DSLR
3)Water
4)Tripod(Optional but HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to bring along)
5)Flash(Optional)
6)Tianya/Cokin/Lee/Singh Ray square filters(Optional too)
7)Mini stool to sit down as there are no benches there.Can get cheap(<$15)from Giant supermarket(Optional too)
8)Wired/wireless remote shutter release(Mine is universal.Can share with/poison those who dosen't have)(If you are bringing your tripod)
9)Camera manual

*Beginners who had just started photography are welcome*

For those taking bus(public tpt):

I'll be at KFC Causeway Point at 5.30pm for early dinner.Those who wish to join me are welcome.KFC is INSIDE Causeway Point(Woodlands MRT).Please note that as it is evening time,seats are limited(So come early hor!).I'll try my best to get a table that can seat 6 people.If you do not wish to join me for early dinner,see below...

If you do not wish to join me for early dinner,meet at Woodlands BUS INTERCHANGE(In front of bus 856 berth)at 6pm.From there,we'll take bus 856 to Woodlands Waterfront.

For those driving:

Park your car/motorbike/taxi/airplane/boat at Admiralty Park NORTH CARPARK and then walk for about 5 mins to Woodlands Waterfront.Parking is free at AP North CP.If you don't wanna walk,there is a carpark at Woodlands Waterfront itself but parking IS CHARGEABLE.Meet at the entrance of Woodlands Waterfront by 6.30pm

Sunset according to NEA's webby is 7.10pm+.Thus,we'll be there around 6.30pm

Important things to note after signing up:

1)If you've NOT joined any of my outings before,please send me a PM with the following:

-Name
-Contact number
-Driving or taking bus
-If taking bus,are you joining for dinner?
-Questions u wanna ask(E.g Do i have to bring xxx?)

If i do not receive your PM within 3 days after you've signed up,i'll remove your name from the list and move the next person up the list.This includes those in the reserve list too.

2)Timing is subjected to change.Please check this thread frequently for updates on the latest meet-up time.

3)Copy the list and put your name down if interested.Those who do not copy properly,please do not blame me or anyone else if your name is removed.DO NOT PM ME SAYING YOU WANNA JOIN THIS OUTING AND NEVER PUT YOUR NAME DOWN ON THE LIST.

4)If you've joined any of my outings before,you need not PM me your contact again.

5)Please make my life easy by removing your name from the list and moving the next person up the list if you can't make it for this outing.

As it has been raining for the past few days,please check this thread at 4.30pm on Friday(25 June).I will confirm whether this outing is still ON or postponed.

How to go to WW(Woodlands Waterfront):

If you are taking bus,meet at the berth in front of service 856.When you go down the escalator(Nearest to Buzz),turn left and left again.856 is the 1st berth.

Alight at Admiralty Rd(Bef R.M.N. Barracks) bus stop.WW is a 3mins walk away.


If you are meeting there directly,WW is at the junction of Admiralty Rd and Admiralty Rd West.

If you are lucky, you may see kids flying kites over there.

Right in front of a sign "No Flying Kites" :bsmilie:

Kids forget how to read during School Holidays

Here are some of my photos.

They only complete phrase one of Woodlands Waterfront.
Things you would like to take note is that there is a toilet but no running water :angry:

I was fortunate to bring to bring along two bottles of water.
One for drinking and the other for washing.

Yes i also went last week.But the toilet has water leh:think:
