Beginner shot...

hi, hope u dun mind..
i feel quite dictracting by the leaves and the the colors are quite flat ...y not u take closer shot focusing only the flower itself if ur lens focus is permitted(to make it cleaner shot)?

just my piece of opinion... ^_^
keep it up, bro..photography is no ending

for the 2nd shot, you might want to try going lower and closer to the subject.
you can get a nice graphic, arrow like shapes - all pointing up.

also try to clean up the messy background

also, all the shots are central, prehaps a bit too snapshoty especially the 2nd one, try getting closer and use rule of thirds, for example like this shot:

Here the flowers have been isolated from the leaves and there not in the middle of the picture which i think makes it look better, not so much like a snapshot.

Basically, the view is too wide. If the focus is on the flower, than the pic is abit too wide. As Ortega said, a close up level view would be better.

In general, this is what I learnt from www.nyip.com

Step 1. Know your subject .
Step 2. Focus attention on your subject.
Step 3. Simplify .

What is it abt the flower that struck you? The colour? shape? form?
Focus the viewer's attention on that. All else are not essential.
Simplify....all other distacting elements are to remove.

This applies to all form of photography.....

You may try using a close up filter to get closer...

notice the water droplets on the leaves in the first pic? get a close up of that, that's what macro photography should be about. avoid wide angle shots, see the other comments, i agree fully with all of them.
