Hi CSers,

I just got myself a LensPen today and before I start using it on my lenses (front and rear) I was wondering if anyone might warn me otherwise or give me some tips (other than the instructions) on using it better?

Thanks! ;)

Use only when necessary. Your camera and lenses don't need any 'daily scrub'.

dun use it on ur focusing screen. and yes i learnt it the hard way

light action only please. dun press too hard.

give the pen a little quarter/half twist while the cap is still attached before using...... the inside tip of the cap is charged with the cleaning agent

just make sure u dun use this for the sensor and focusing screens of the camera body..

only for the front and rear glass elements of the lens

blow away dust and use a torchlight to check for particles that might still be on the lens, sweep them away with the built-in brush. use the round disc in light circular motion, and remember to recharge when necessary.

The lenspen is good.
What I find disturbing in the video is that the demonstrator keeps using her finger to touch the carbon tip, or attempt to point/touch the edge of the carbon tip.
This is not recommended as this would really 'oil'-up the tip.
