Was told that either a durian husk or a soursop leaf put on the bed is quite effective. (Personally I would use the soursop leaf because I hate the smell of durians) Also, bedbugs like moisture and darkness and opening the window and letting sunlight in every day helps a lot also.
Some pest control companies today use a product called Cryonite, which is simply carbon dioxide sprayed over the room or into crevices and this both suffocates pests and kills them by freezing. Going by this theory, one could discharge a carbon dioxide type fire extinguisher at every corner of the bed. But this is NOT proven, just an idea I had, no guarantee it would work, and also suffocation could happen if you don't get out of the room soon after doing that.
