Hi all, I would like some feedback on this pic. Used a 105mm Macro VR Nikkor lens and lit it from the back with a remote SB-800 trigged by my D80's on-board flash. Used a short shutter speed to create falloff. Composition wise, how else could it have been framed that could have sparked more visual interest; Lighting wise, how did it work out? (I wanted a sort of dramatic light that separated it clearly from the background and gave it a superior and proud look). Overall, is the general sharpness fine?

C&Cs much appreciated:)

in my opinion , i dun tink the sharpness is fine, kinda look blur to me

also, the maybe u can change ur position of ur SB-800 to avoid having shadows on the petals

just my humble opinions....

Hmm, actually is it possible that the DOF is just too shallow? Somehow I feel that the back "hairs" of the middle portion of the flower are sharp though :dunno:

yeah eikin, maybe you should use smaller aperture. :)

not enough contrast. just my 0.2

Yeah except no tripod was around x.x if not would have done so. Thanks anyway :)

petals look kinda blur, are u focusing on the center of the flower?

:eek::eek::eek::eek::

Overall though, :thumbsup:
