i also quite like the 4th shot of the real beetle, tho the right side of its face looks a bit dark on my screen, can't see the details.

The rest of it, either a bit over or the composition doesn't work for me. (composition sometimes is a matter of personal taste tho, you judge for yourself oki?)

Good attempts. You have very good macro lens all you need is to perfect the technique.

u r right the right side of its face is on the dark side
do hav one with even exposure on the whole beetle
but like the 'can see, cannot see, feel' hahaha :bsmilie:

thx... i agree its a good lens but will be better if its AF can be better :D
btw all shots MF, strain on my old weary eyes :bigeyes:
