how would you use the beanbag with your camera?

i read them in many magazines, but they never seem to show you visually whats the best bags, positions to use with your camera.

vaguely recalled at photo.net a short mention about combining a short tripod with a double V shaped beanbag as a substitute for low macro shots

anyone tried using a beanbag as a quick substitute for a tripod in your travels?

hows the results, and how do u go abouts setting your shots?

i've never used one.. but i presume u can use it to support ur left hand or even put the whole lens on the beanbag (that's of course on something else).

thing with a beanbag is that is forms the shape of ur hand, lens, surface u place it on to a great extent. so u get more stability?

Can I presume that you are talking about this..??

I use bean bag for my shots
Because i no $$ to buy tripod.
Mine cost $1
Use old sock and put in $1 worth of green beans and can liao. Quite useful.

They are fast, light and easy to use. Can be use to take firework too!
Put the camera onto the bean bag and at any position, any angle, they stay!

Note: The camera i using is Nikon CP 885. A small compact digital. So, bean bag is good for me
