Try shenton way area where there are hp shops near mrt stations. These are the places where there is high concentration of smart phone users. or even as far as tanjong pagar mrt station. they should have it unless out of stock.
As for residential estate, your chance of getting it is rather slim.

Look like I have to make a trip to Sim Lim already.. Friend just told me she did hers for $5 only!
No point running back and forth to save a few dollars also... If you find somewhere convenient with it, just go there
