Not sure of FZ10. Mine is FZ20 using original battery under normal usage, can shoot about 260 pics. 3rd party battery is lesser at about 160 pics.

I think about the same for FZ10...Haven't tried East Gear Battery, heard comment that it is rather good. :dunno:

Yup. Used to own AP and EastGear ones before. Can really feel the different. East Gear one seen to hold the charge better.

Cheers

Why get form ebay when you can get a EastGear 900mah for less than $30
with 6 months warranty locally of AP selling 1200mah for around $29 which
SLS AP said 1 year warranty & Funan AP said 7 days warranty..

Recently I just bought a Pana Dvcam 2000mah from ebay for S$33 as
locally selling for around $50.
The batt don't work well for the 1st few days when I received it but now
working ok after I contacted the seller to return it..
Now also don't know want to waste shipping again to sent it back or just
keep it and see how..
Anyway, the seller auction site indicated ** 5 year warranty **, so
hopefully it is real.. ;)

Actually I did saw some feedback that the 1200mah work the same as the
original batt and EastGear work better that the previous both.

Original Battery is not 1200mah. I think only 960mah.

so compat batt @ 1200mah only as good as 960mah?

Original is 680mah. I saw some feedbacks that the compatible 1200mah
work almost same as the original 680mah and think both weigtht around
the same too.
Just imagine putting 2 X 680mah together and what will the size be?
But the 1200mah still the same szie as 680mah..

If you are awared, Dvcam batt are fitted external, and the higher the mah,
the bigger size it will be...

So for the FZ series compatible batt, be it what mah, it will still be around
the same performance..
Just that some said EastGear 900mah last a bit longer.
I don't own the compatible 1200mah but i do have the EastGear 900mah
and it seem last longer than the original 680mah one maybe due to the
used of better quality cell.

hmm.. no one come up with 2400mah? that will be better mah (get it? mah!)

hee :sweatsm: :sweatsm: :sweatsm:

On those auction adverts for the batteries, they would say FZ1, FZ2, FZ3, FZ10, FZ15 & FZ20 uses the same battery but then they also list the models of the batteries as 'DMW-BM7', 'CGA-S002E', 'CGA-S001HH' & 'CGR-S002'. I dun understand all these different model names, aren't they suppose to be all the same? Or not the same in some ways?

yeah today went to shop for FZ10 batteries... got $20 - $45
sweat man...
How big is the diff b/w the AP one and the Eastgear one?

Delay, Eastgear one, u pay more it holds more charge... i think got pple get for around 27 dollars for eastgear one... AP one 25 dollars hold less charge...

Overall me got one eastgear and one AP one... AP one can shoot less... but both AP and Eastgear one all shoot less than the original one...

I also bought Eastgear's $19 travel charger. So much more convenient. I dun like the supplied charger that needs to be connected to a cable 1st, & then the cable to an AC outlet. The package supplied 2 cables somemore...

I hate the package size of the FZ20 to be so BIG. Having different instruction manual for every different language. End up the box so big. The package ought to be the size of Canon 350D's. Small & convenient to carry.

actually kudos to pana for being so detailed in their descriptions in multi languages leh... better than get something from say creative that has a 5 pages manual for a $600 item...

btw guys, might be going cambodia, is the voltage the same huh?

and how long do u guys charge ur batt?

well but you must admit there isn't much functions in creative products. It is more like KIS (keep it simple)
