i just got my D50 today at AP and also bought an extra battery but when i put it on the nikon charger it blinks awhile then no light... (not charging)

so what should i do?

no.. manual say when charging it will be blinking orange.. when charge finish it will be orange no blink..

but the non-original battery on the nikon charger is.. blink for a few seconds then no light..

I guess the battery is faulty. Bring it back to check.

And in the first place, dun buy non-originals. They can void your camera's warranty if it damages your camera during usage.

It could be because the battery is full already.

But, I don't trust 3th party battery.

nonono...

it happens to my charger sometimes also...check the part where the wire connects to the charger.....its loose la... reinsert the wire and try again
