Any one been to this website?

http://www.bargaincity.com.sg/

The prices for certain items like Canon's A70 @ S$500 w/o GST ($520 w/GST) are quite attractive and I would say it's close to AP or CP's prices.

It even claims to match any prices, and for a measly $5, it even delivers.

Though there is one thing I don't understand. I tried to locate the address of this company but I cannot even find it.
I can't even locate a telephone number. Only a fax number.

The "Contact Us" and "Customer Support" on the website all lead to email addresses.

And this website is very "low-profile" I have not read any ads or heard anything at all about this site.

I was linked to this site via this link below.
http://reflecx.netfirms.com/cameraprices.html

Which was provided by a fellow CS member and I noticed the bargain city's url at the bottom of the link.

Any one bought any thing from this website before.

(P.S Personally I find this website very suspicious. Hmm.... no tel number, no local address, no contact person name....:dunno: )

Wah, address is virtual office, telephone number is mobile phone.

This owner must be a "home office" type of business.
Probably have several good lobangs with the dealers or authorised distributors and only place an order with them when someone orders from his website.

So as to avoid any storage space for inventory.

I was wondering if someone buy a 1Ds from him and pay him first ($12,000+). And he end the business, terminate the domain name, cancel his handphone and email.

Then what on earth will the customer do? Afterall, even if the customer visit the so called place. it's only a virtual office. no one will be there.

The site look quite pro leh

It's ok lah, I have seen those part-time degrees or diplomas students design similar or better ones for their final project.

It does not have secure payment method like credit card payment. It's only Cash or direct fund-transfer for overseas payment.

Frankly, I wish this site was tied to CP or AP or MS Color, that would make it safer to buy from.

So we can save the trip to our fav camera shop when purchasing non-essential items like memory cards, P&S cameras, spare batteries and even filters...etc

Sometimes don't you hate spending a hour or so travelling just to get some filters that cost only very cheap and think of the MRT + bus fare to and fro.

Hi.

So no one has purchased any equipment from bargaincity.com.sg?

aww ... was thinking of buying something from them.
Think twice now
