Hi,

Thought I might as well try here.

Anyone knows where one could get Code 1 Band Of Brothers DVD in Singapore?

I understand that this is 40 minutes missing in the Code 3 version.

Any ideas?

Yoz..

BoB Code 1 DVD not allowed in SG...
Only Code 3 DVD available.
Even the VCDs version are also edited.

:)

Just order from Canada Amazon.com

SHould get to you barring an emormous slice of misfortune

Amazon.ca 110 Canadian dollars
Amazon 84 US dollars

Actually it's about the same now. Canadian dollars grew stronger. Last time it was weaker, thus alot of dvd entusiasts used to buy from Amazon.ca

Intending to get one too, wonder if it's cheaper over at Bangkok? Original of cos! :D

It should be cheaper there, based on the fact that my friend got his copy of The Animatrix DVD there cheaper too.

Alternatively, you can search around eBay for a 2nd hand copy of the DVD. Should be cheaper than ordering from Amazon even if you factor in the shipping costs.

OT: For those who got The Animatrix from Singapore, can help check if "The Second Renaissance Part I" is 8m39s long? I suspect it has been censored in Singapore.

I got the D9 version. I believe its the US version (ie meaning Code 1). Only watch until episode 4, found it boring. Interested to take it off me?

Or you could watch the TV premiere of BoB this Sat (I think.)
Caught the trailers on Channel 5.

It's free, although it's censored.

What's there to censor besides the 5 seconds of nudity? :dunno:

Discussion of pirated movie or unlicensed movie prohibited. Think twice before you contribute to this topic. Thank you.

Just curious ... How would you define unlicensed movies? Where is the link to pirated movies such that you put out this blanket statement?

It was a reminder. Thread like this normally leads to piracy discussion.

Period.

Not really. I knew some have order directly, no problem at all. The best way to do this is closed this subject  This is what I do... ;)

suggest go this this site ->

http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php

They specialise in hometheatre stuff including DVDs & movies.
You can find their buy/sell section one of the most active in DVD exchanges in Singapore. Anything from R1 to R4 including D5s and D9s.

You might have better luck finding the box set of BoB R1. Saw someone selling few months back.
