1. in what area is critique to be sought?
in terms of exposure, focus and whether is it a good shot to begin with.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
that tranquil feel.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
in tanah lot, bali. ground is wet and sandy. image is taken with a 55-200mm f9

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
i feel that your utmost and honest critique would definitely help me alot. :)

dominant bluish and slight magenta cast. do you have a calibrated monitor?

the composition does not hold one's attention for long, here, it is probably good to go closer up.

If you had focused on the flowing water alone, or at least for the most part, you might have better achieved the tranquil feel you were looking after.

For better composition though, cutting off some of that cliff would probably help, as other posters have mentioned. Maybe you can try chopping off 3/4s of that black rock and make this a square image! Heh :)
