Hi C+C on how to improve product shots please. Thanks.

Shot with Nikon D50, 18-70mm @ 35mm f8.

it will be good if you could...
use the longest focal length to shoot
use white board to block off all the ugly reflection on the bottle

the bottle looks... funny...
perspective... the neck looks swollen and the bottle looks small
pour more Baileys into the cup?
crop a bit "i dont know how to put it"

and the shadows, i assume you meant for light to come from the left...

yeah... quite bore.. may be you can try difference lighting set up...

good advice  but may i ask why use the logest focal length to shoot?

Thanks for the feedback.

Could you please tell me what do you mean by slanted? Looks straight to me. Hmm.

I agree with the ugly reflections from the bottle. Will try to improve next time :)

About the baileys, those were the last few drops from the bottle. Only if I had not consumed it beforehand. Hehe.

Does the bottle really look funny? I couldn't really tell. Oh well.

Thanks again.

THe use of the longest focal is prefered because using wide angle will most likely cause it to have distortion...

he is using 35mm focal length of the 18~70 lens to shoot this, so have the perspective distortion,
usually, we will use a mid tele for product shot.

the vertical line of the bottle, and the vertical line of the tumblers are not parallel, hence looks slanted.
