Heh heh... This African Crowned Crane must have been really drenched earlier in the morning to look like this. Think it was using the morning sun to dry itself up. Pretty impressive how it still manages to keep that crown perky looking, its almost like how the Peacock does it..

Thanks thanks.. The black background is a result of both the area selected for its backdrop and the exposure taken from the sunlight "hitting" the bird which causes the background to be underexposed (very useful for "getting rid" of distractions in the background).
