Not sure if brothers/sisters have had any bad experiences when buying or selling your used equipment but let me tell you what i experienced yesterday night.
I was selling my 4 months old 100mm macro lens, i had wanted to transact in the western area but a potential buyer said that he is quite serious about buying but he lives in the eastern area saying the western area is too far, so we agreed to meet up at Cityhall MRT.
First of all, the buyer keeps delaying time saying he is caught up with work, fine. So he was late by 30 minutes. I asked him if we could find a place to sit nearby so we can comfortably take our time to check the lens, he points to me a corner in the crowded MRT station, say we will check there, fine by me.
We went to the corner, i let him take a look at the Warranty card and registration status. Open up my box, took out the lens, first thing he said, "Your hood is not original, you never told me it was a 3rd party hood, i am not going to buy it." In the first place, i never claim that my hood was original in my post, he did not even take out the lens cap to see the lens and based on the hood alone, rejected the deal.
Based on what i saw, he was only carrying a small backpack, so i am wondering, did he even bring a body to test out the lens in the first place. And is he out to purely waste my time?:thumbsd:
Anyone got similar bad experiences?
