Can anyone let me know where to meter for backlight photography. Suppose I want to take one potrait shot with sunlight coming from behind then shall I meter at human face or some other midtone area.
Pls advice?
You want the silhouette?
then meter at the bright area.
If you want a white wash-out high key effect, then meter at the face.

if you take meter reading from the face, just close down two stops will do
