I will be collecting my first roll of developed velvia later today... Wonder how it turns out? Will I be exposed (no pun intended:bsmilie: )as a lousy photographer?..haahaa...

I still think FILM is the BEST..... not the cheapest though..... Never use or own DSLR, but try digital before..... but still, prefer FILM...

Only good thing about digital is the instant results......

I thought RETRO is the IN thing.. so stick with FILMS!!! ;)

only good thing about film is...well...the film :bsmilie:

i started photography in secondary also, way back in '92.

Once a shutterbug, always a shutterbug.

I too started photography as a kid, but that was waaaaaay back when singapore was still under our neighbors up north... :)

Started out with a Speed graphic field (4x5), moved on to old calumets and later, when i could just afford it, bought my first Nikon F.

Well, as said, film certainly has its strengths, and until the day that DSLRs can fully replicate the colour, detail, etc of chromes (regardless of what other people might say) film will always be the mainstay of the photographic world.

Right now, though i use digital 99% of the time for tan jiak, i still vibrate with joy when i look at my son's wedding photos done with 6x8 Realas. :D

;) Well started photography in my secondary school in 2004. Using F-601 for almost a year now.

I will stick to film until the day that Full Frame DSLRs become cheap and can replicate chromes and negatives with the detail and colour. :)

actually i always have the impression of the medium format as expensive and bulky (compared to conventional film slr). the only mf camera i own is the holga which is quite a super toy with its unique effects. still, i hope to get a mf someday... :) shooting film, no matter the type of camera, is still the wildest experience for me!

I will continue to shoot film until the day full frame DSLRs becomes dirt cheap and DSLRs can replicate slides 100%

I think by the time you wait for that to happen, my guess you will be about 150 years old.......

when waiting for the film to process out ,... is like waiting the result coming out.. Feel so good ;) ;p

Yes very fun to wait for the process but if your end product is all but a blank/underexposed image.......Wah Lau! I should hear plenty of cursing and swearing......haha :bsmilie:
