Glad for comments :)

Cute baby. But how come so yellow?

Was your WB set to flash mode? But you were shooting without flash right?;)

Glad for comments :)
if you seek for comments on improving photography skill, detach your own feeling about this photo and the baby, as if this is a photo of some other people photo, so you may see better and knowing ways to improving this photos.

else, other will only give you comment of "cute baby", "handsome boy" etc.

get a clean backdrop, less space above the head, tighter crop, focus on the eyes, watch out for your WB, put in extra lighting (ceiling bounce) to avoid flashing your kid. and as catchlights has said well, detach yourself and emotions from your subject. take off the daddy hat (if that's your kid) and put on your photographer hat. that way you'd be less distracted.

Thanks for the comments.... Will work on it! :)

Too tight a crop.. focus is on baby, but not that interesting.
Background is messy as indicate by others.. use a larger F to throw more blur..

Try to get another subject matter in, add more interest.
A toy, bb is trying to reach, or he looking at something that attracts him.
Or maybe the mum, craddle him..

This is just a normal BB shot.
