B+W filter

is B+W glare UV filter good enough as compared to nikon NC ?

Both B+W MRC and Nikon NC are good filters.

But there's slight difference between them, Nikon's truely NC, == no colour, no colour tint, whereas B+W's, there's a slight warm tint to it.

So it depends on your preference. But all in all, get either one and you won't go wrong.

aye, price increased. I used to buy my 77mm B+W MRC and Nikon L37C/NC for <S$100 each. hehe.

I find that both B+W MRC and Nikon L37C is equally hard and can be rough handled. But B+W MRC is easier to clean IMO.

How do you check?

Check against the reflection light of the glass coating surface. it is not smooth as in there are bad spot. :bigeyes:

One have a white dot where there is no coating.
Two have round dent surface on the glass.

YMMV

It is easier to see, or you need strong light?

I check all my B+W filters, and looks ok for my eye(s) :sweat: . Hopefully mine is old stock.
