MINDEF and the SAF will be assisting the Police in the investigation."

:dunno::dunno::dunno: wat was he thinking ???

Will he go into civilian prison + military DB???

and for how long???

Caught in Orchard Road. wonder he go there for shopping or watching movies?

Corporal means he was from poly or JC (going to Uni) ... hmmm....

Processing an armed and dangerous weapon illegally, can be as heavy as life prisonment if not death sentence (if involved in shooting, injured or killed someone with the weapon).

Worse is that he actually had AWOL during his duty with an armed weapon, and it's likely to be M16. This is a very serious case, the future of this CPL don't look bright at all.

NSF arrested for leaving camp with rifle, bullets

FULL-TIME National Serviceman Corporal Dave Teo Ming triggered a islandwide security alert on Monday night after he walked out of his Army camp with his SAR-21 assault rifle and several bullets.
After a 20-hour manhunt, police arrested the 20-year-old NSF at 8pm at Orchard Cineleisure, a cinema cum shopping complex in the heart of the Orchard Road tourist belt.

The Straits Times understands that the NSF was in possession of his SAR-21 rifle, loaded with several 5.56mm bullets, when policemen arrested him.
